UNREASONABLE INSTITUTE: Episode 2 – A Change in Tone

Episode two focuses on a the juxtaposition between community, leisure time, and the intense work ethic of entrepreneurs working to create globally viable ventures. The discipline and the daily grind of being an Unreasonable Fellow is showcased through the stories of a few individual entrepreneurs. The mentor intensive model is explored as well as the innovative Unreasonable Village Fund — a $150,000 fund that the Unreasonable Fellows will allocate and invest in one another. In this episode the community, struggle, and intensity of creating lasting impact are investigated through the intimate story of a few Unreasonable entrepreneurs.

Filmmaker Mark C - Born in southern California, Mark Crawford has lived in multiple states on the west coast including Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado. While attending the University of Colorado, he immersed himself in a wide range of filmmaking styles and techniques including animation, documentary, narrative, and experimental. His films have received many national and international accolades including an official selection at Silver Docs film festival for his short documentary Synesthesia and an official selection at the SOUNDS New Contemporary Music Festival in England for his animated film Seven Deadly Sins. As a composer/songwriter, Mark has enjoyed writing music for a variety of projects including documentaries, narratives, and five musical comedies including The Final Hour. His scoring credits include projects by students at the University of Colorado, NYU, USC, and the University of British Columbia as well as Chadder's Adventures, a nationally syndicated children's video series, and The Torturer, an independent feature film released in the Spring of 2009. Mark currently owns a rapidly growing production company, Final Hour Films, specializing in a all aspects of production. He is also currently in the process of scoring a feature documentary, Chasing Ice, about a photographer’s quest to capture the effects of global warming using a series of time-lapse images captured of glaciers from various parts of the earth.
